Stop the 765 is a grassroots effort by farmers and residents of southwest Minnesota. This policy explains what information we collect through stopthe765.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We are not a business. We do not sell anything, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number (optional)
Information collected automatically.
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you came from. We use this only to understand how many people are finding the site.
We do not collect payment information. There is no donation button on this site.
2. Why we collect it
We use your information to:
Send you details and updates about the September 12 caravan
Notify you of public hearings, comment deadlines, and filing dates in the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission proceedings
Send occasional updates on where things stand
Contact you about future events
Phone numbers. We use phone numbers only for urgent, last-minute changes — a weather call or a route change on the morning of an event. Everything else comes by email. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
We share it only with the services we use to run this site and send messages — for example our website host, email service, and text messaging service. Those companies process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, such as in response to a court order.
4. Cookies
Our site uses basic cookies to function and may use simple analytics to count visits. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or delete them; the site will still work.
We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not run ads.
Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as this effort is active, so we can continue sending you updates about the proceedings.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will.

Just email and ask. You don't need to explain why, and we'll take care of it.
If you live in California or another state with additional privacy rights, those rights apply here too — including the right to know what we've collected and the right to have it deleted. Same email.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we keep our lists limited to the people who need access to run events.
That said, no website or database is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee otherwise.
8. Children
This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top.
